Product Care

Caring for your Classic Italian handbag

To ensure that your leather handbag looks good for several years we recommend some basic care tips:-
  • Dust and wipe your bag regularly with a soft slightly damp cloth
  • If your bag does get wet, wipe it off immediately and let it air dry, direct heat could cause the leather to dehydrate and damage it
  • If using a leather conditioner or other cleaning products always apply it to the cloth first and not directly onto the leather
  • Always test any leather products on a small inconspicuous area of the bag before applying it to the entire bag
  • Do not store a leather bag in plastic as these emit chemicals which can damage the leather, use a cloth bag (a pillowcase works well)
  • Keep your bag away from beauty products, creams, hairspray, food and other oil-based products, as these are likely to stain or damage the leather and are difficult to remove
  • Do not store in direct sunlight or heat, keep your bag in a dark, cool, dry place to prevent fading and mould.

Caring for your Classic Italian boots

You can prolong the life and the look of your new boots by simply following this common sense care routine:
  • Leather is water resistant not water proof, so polish them regularly with a good quality polish to protect them from the wet
  • If your boots do get wet, allow them to dry naturally away from direct heat
  • If you are going to store your boots for any length of time, please wrap them in either soft cloth or paper, not plastic bags. Try and avoid storing them in an atmosphere that is too warm which may ‘dry out’ the leather
  • Invest in a pair of boot trees to help keep your boots in the right shape and condition
  • Though your boots are designed and manufactured to be hard wearing, do exercise caution when wearing them over rough or broken terrain, for example.
